How to record system sound

on

Ubuntu 24.04

# install latest audacity
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/audacity
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install audacity

# install volume control
$ sudo apt-get install pavucontrol

run PulseAudio

 


run Audacity

 


start recording

 



select the correct channel
